Bunker Down, Speak Out: Heat #2

The Bunker Spoken Word Series returns in 2020 bigger and better than ever, with an online Spoken Word competition and international guest performers beamed in from across the globe.

With competition heats held through Zoom in June and July, we’re taking this opportunity to bring you the best international spoken word talent. Up next for Heat Two is Anthony Ananxagorou from London, UK.

From slam poets to bush poets and storytellers, our professional judging team will be on hand to send five finalists from each heat to the grand final in August where the Bunker Spoken Word 2020 winner will be awarded the $500 cash prize courtesy of our longstanding partners, the Imperial Hotel Eumundi.

Each heat will have 11 places available for individuals to register for the competition. The first 10 registrants will be guaranteed a place in the competition with the 11th competitor drawn randomly from all registrants after the first 10.

Heat Two comes hot on the heels of a successful Heat One, which saw five exceptional spoken word performers win their place in the Grand Final.

Join us on Zoom on Thu 9 July for Heat Two, featuring the incredible Anthony Anaxagorou joining us all the way from London.

Registration for both audiences and competitors is free via the Zoom link below.
